UMBC's annual HvZ invitational

 

The invitational will be on Saturday the 20th, April 2024, with gameplay starting at 9am. Registration opens late Friday January 12th! Apply to be a Starting Zombie or an Official Medic below.

 

This year's theme is the Wild West! Come join us for a day full of outlaws, six-shooters, train heists, cattle rustling, dynamite, and a few darts more. And also, zombies? Hang on, how did zombies get into this script?

 

Well. Um. Yes. I've checked, and there will apparently be zombies. Lots of zombies. With spurs, hats, bandannas, and if I'm reading this correctly, TNT?! Whatever the case may be, best to come well prepared.

 

HOW IT WORKS:

HvZ is a game played across college campuses that is a cross between foam flinging fights and common Tag. Zombies attempt to tag humans, to convert them to the ever growing horde, and Humans defend themselves against the onslaught with foam blasters. And while humans can stun zombies with darts, they're only buying time. The zombies will always be back for more, in very short order.
